Manchester City beat Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates in their opening Premier League game of the season.
Raheem Sterling opened the scoring early on, putting City ahead on 14 minutes.
Bernardo Silva wrapped up all three points with the second on 64 minutes.
Ilkay Gundogan started in midfield for the reigning champions against the Gunners.

Why the hate? Gundogan seems to be getting criticised quite a lot despite City winning and keeping a clean sheet away to Arsenal.
The Gundogan hate is getting a little excessive, he’s one of our own blues.

It’s funny how some of these Gundogan haters only target him when Fernandinho was poor as well. Most players were sloppy today, but 3 points and a clean sheet is all that matters.

The midfielder of Turkish heritage did get some praise to be fair.
Unless you watch a player cam on a specific player do not pass judgement on a player’s performance from your TV!
Player movement and simple passes in our team is key to our success. Just watch the off the ball work from Bernardo and Gundogan today ?

Thoughts?
Gundogan’s mask attracted quite a lot of attention yet again.
Who else thinks Ilkay Gundogan should keep his mask permanently? pic.twitter.com/9xDIFxNm1m
