Cenk Tosun left the chance to lift the Super Lig title for a third successive season and face Bayern Munich in the Champions League Last 16 to join Everton in January.
After struggling initially, Tosun found his feet after a mini warm-weather training camp in Dubai.
The 26-year-old ended up scoring five goals for the Toffees.
Former Everton striker Tony Cottee gave Tosun a glowing review Tosun’s debut season in the Premier League.
“Cenk has shown pretty much straightaway that he can score goals in the Premier League and I am looking forward to seeing more of him,” Cottee told Everton’s official website.

“He looks like a real finisher. Settling in at any club is difficult but there are promising signs there. Whoever comes in as manager just needs to decide, now, whether he is more effective on his own, or with someone up alongside him.
“If you are a striker you are judged almost entirely on your goals – and his goal-return so far has been good.
“It is also important that he seems comfortable living in England. It can be very difficult initially when you are taking on board a new language and getting used to completely different surroundings.”
“Everyone sees the footballer but not all the stuff that goes into making the individual happy. If the individual is happy, then you get to see the real footballer.
“All the indications are that he is settling in quickly and there is more to come from him when he is completely adapted to the country and the Premier League.”
Tosun did not exactly receive the best service under the stewardship of Sam Allardyce.
In fact the striker scored five goals in his last eight shots on target.
The Turkey international will have a new manager next season as Marco Silva has take charge of the club.
Tosun is currently on international duty and is set to start against Tunisia, in Switzerland tonight.
