Liverpool Wonder Kid Suffers Injury After Clash Against Man City U23 Side
Liverpool wonder kid Rhian Brewster has suffered a high ankle sprain following the Reds U23’s defeat to Manchester City on Friday.
Brewster will undergo further assessments on the injury later this week.
Liverpool became the first team to beat City in the Premier League this season with a 4-3 victory at Anfield on Sunday.
The U23s were also involved in a high scoring game but ended up losing 3-2.
Brewster was carried off after a fall during the game before being taken to hospital.
The initial diagnosis was ligament damage but further tests will reveal the full extent of his injury.

Liverpool U23 manager Neil Critchley was quoted as saying the following on the official website: “I don’t want to speculate too much but he’s in a lot of pain and hopefully it’s not as bad as it looks, but we fear the worst a little bit at the moment.”
The 17-year-old has five goals and seven assists for the youth side coached by Steven Gerrard this season.
Brewster was a key part of the England side that won the Under-17 World Cup in India in October, scoring a hat-trick in the semi-final against Brazil.
Liverpool wonder-kid has a Turkish mother and would be able to play for Turkey at senior international level.
