Galatasaray are in the market for a new defensive midfielder after Felipe Melo signalled his intention to return to the Serie A.
The Brazilian international has been linked with a move to Inter Milan to join former manager Roberto Mancini recently.
The Turkish news agency DHA has stated that Galatasaray have singled out AC Milan’s Nigel de Jong as a replacement for Melo.
Melo has a year remaining on his contract meaning the Istanbul based club will need to sell this season if they do not want he to go for free next season.
