Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil will take part in Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Asia.
The 29-year-old has been on an extended break following Germany’s disastrous World Cup campaign.
Ozil played during both of Germany’s defeats to South Korea and Mexico. The former Real Madrid star was singled out for criticism following Germany’s exit.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery has announced that Ozil will travel with the Gunners for their pre-season tour of Singapour.
Emery has revealed that Ozil, Mohamed Elneny and Alex Iwobi will play a full part in the Singapore tour which begins on July 22.
“All the players are the same,” Arsenal boss Emery told Arsenal Player.
“They have the same holidays. I know Iwobi, Elneny and Mesut Ozil. He’s coming with us to Singapore the first day.”
Ozil played a key role for Arsenal last season but did struggle with several injuries. The 29-year-old provided 14 assists and scored five goals in 35
Arsenal kick off their 2018/19 Premier League campaign with a blockbuster fixture against the reigning champions Manchester City.
Ozil recently put pen-to-paper on a new four-year contract making him one of Arsenal’s highest earners.
