Arsenal are reported to be leading the race to sign AS Roma winger Cengiz Under heading into the winter transfer window.
Italian outlet Forza Roma who are a contributor to La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Gunners are in ‘pole position’ ahead of Bayern Munich to sign the rising star.
Per the source, the Giallorossi would accept a €60m [£52m] offer for the 21-year-old as they would have to pay 20 percent of any future sale to Basaksehir.
The Istanbul based outfit included the clause when they sold Under to Roma in the summer of 2017.
Additionally, Altinordu would be due a development fee payment as part of the deal.
Turkish-Football have reported that the Gunners have a long-standing interest in Under and have been keeping tabs on the young winger.
Under’s representatives have however, informed us that they are not planning a January exit.

The Turkey international star is happy at Roma and focused on the current campaign but if he were to leave at the end of the season he may consider a Premier League or La Liga move.
The Serie A outfit are currently in talks with Under’s team over an improved contract which would see him receive a pay rise from the €800,000 he is currently earning.
Under has two goals and four assists in all competitions for the Giallorossi this term.
