Arsenal transfer news: £42m Mesut Ozil linked with shock move to Euro giants
Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has been linked with a shock move to Fenerbahce.
The Telegraph report that the Yellow Canaries are preparing an offer for the Germany international.
Ozil has 18 months remaining on his contract with Arsenal and is yet to respond to the Gunners latest contract offer.
The 28-year-old has also reportedly angered Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. The French tactician is understood to be unhappy with Ozil’s commitment.
Fenerbahce will be on the lookout for a new marquee signing this summer with Robin van Persie nearing an exit.
Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for a club record £42 million back in September 2013. The Telegraph states that the north London based club want to recoup at least £30 million.
The former Real Madrid star has not started a game for the Gunners since their embarrassing 5-1 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich.
