Beşiktaş board member Erdan Torunoğulları is in England to complete the transfer of Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes according to Fanatik.
The Turkish sports newspaper report that Torunoğulları will remain in England until Tuesday.
Beşiktaş have agreed personal terms with Valdes a source close to the club told Turkish-football.com.
United manager Louis van Gaal however, decided not to comment on reports linking Victor Valdes with a move to Beşiktaş in his latest press conference.
“When we want to do announcements, we shall do it, not when you ask us” he said, as reported by the Mirror.
Valdes is likely to leave United after falling out with Van Gaal and has received interest from a number of Turkish clubs including Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Antalyaspor.
Beşiktaş will compete in the Europa League this season and drew Sporting Lisbon, Lokomotiv Moscow and Skanderbeu.
The Black Eagles won their most recent league game 4-0 against Gaziantepspor at the Kamil Ocak stadium.
