The 21-year-old came on in the 67th minute for Joe Allen in midfield. Can has played in his favoured midfield role since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp.
Can received a rating of 6.3 from WhoScored and only managed to maintain a passing accuracy of 67%.
Christian Benteke scored a fine winning goal to send Liverpool into the last 32 of the Europa League. Liverpool will qualify top of their group if they come away with a point from their clash with Sion.
