Emre Can has revealed that he has an excellent relationship with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers mid-way through the first half of the season and has bonded well with Can entrusting him with the keys to central midfield.
“Our relationship is just like with any other player it is very, very good. I speak the language he speaks so it makes things easier as well,” Can told Sport1.
Can and Klopp do of course both speak German which helps and the Reds head coach apparently has a good sense of humour which just goes to show national stereotypes are often wrong.
Klopp is according to Can great to have around and lifts the team with his positive attitude.
“He tells jokes and laughs everyday when he are eating, training and everywhere else it is great to have such a positive person around,” he added.
Klopp has guided the Reds to just 17 wins in 39 games since he replaced Brendan Rodgers as manager but he still has a chance to win silverware in the form of the Europa League.
Liverpool would however, have to overcome Klopp’s former side Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals first. Dortmund are currently second in the Bundesliga just five points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
