German forward Max Kruse has completed his move to Fenerbahce on a three-year deal.
The Yellow Canaries ended up signing Kruse on a free transfer for an undisclosed fee despite being linked with several other European clubs.
A statement on Fenerbahce’s official website said: “As a result of meetings with the German national football player Max Kruse, whose contract with the Werder Bremen club is ending, our club reached an agreement with the football player and signed a preliminary contract.
“Max Kruse will come to Istanbul within the next week and after the detailed health check, will sign the official contract that will connect him to our colours for three seasons.”
The 31-year-old enjoyed an impressive season at Werder Bremen but refused to renew his contract which expired at the end of the season.
“I’m really excited about the new challenge at a traditional club with passionate fans,” Kruse is quoted as saying in a club statement.

Kruse scored 32 goals in 84 Bundesliga appearances across the last three seasons for Werder.
The German will undergo his Fenerbahce medical next week.
Kruse scored 12 times and provided 14 assists in 36 appearances for Werder Bremen in all competitions last season.
The Yellow-Navy Blues had a disappointing season by their standards finishing the league campaign in 6th place.
The club is currently in transition following an end to 20 years of rule by Aziz Yildirim.
Ali Koc took charge of the club last May and appointed Damien Comolli as sporting director.
Comolli played an instrumental role in the signing of Kruse.
