Liverpool & Arsenal transfer boost as Sporting’s Simon Kjaer bid is rejected
Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon have had a bid for Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer rejected according to reports in Turkey.
Fotospor claim that Sporting bid just £4.5 million for Kjaer which was immediately turned down.
Per the source, Sporting are trying to replace Ruben Semedo who they sold to Villarreal for £13 million [€14m] with Kjaer.

The Portuguese side are expected to make a second offer including a player on a part-excahnge deal.
Arsenal and Liverpool have also been closely linked with the Denmark international.
News of Sporting have their bid rejected will come as a boost to both clubs who remain interested in Kjaer.
The Takvim newspaper reported that the Gunners have made a £10.5 million bid for the Denmark international.
Fenerbahce meanwhile increased their asking price from £13.3 million [€15m] to £17.5 million [€15m] following several offers being made for their star man.
Turkish-Football recently reported that Liverpool are plotting a move for Kjaer after pulling out of the race to sign Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk.
The Yellow Canaries have not ruled out selling Kjaer but will not accept a price that falls below their valuation.
Kjaer does have another two-years remaining on his contract and his family have settled into life in Istanbul.
The 29-year-old has 59-caps for his country and was named in the Europa League Team of the Group Stages this season.
