Liverpool’s experinced centre back Martin Skrtel is almost certain to leave the Merseyside club according to his agent Karol Csonto.
“I can say that it is 90 per cent certain Martin will leave Liverpool, but it is far from closed,” Csonto told Slovakian TV station Markiza.
The Slovakia international joined Liverpool back in 2008 from Zenit and Besiktas are interested in acquiring his signature this summer
The Black Eagles struggled defensively last season and despite winning the league they had the worst defensive record in the top-three.
Besiktas could also lose centre-back Marcelo who will return to Germany after his loan deal expires and Alexander Milosevic is also linked with a move abroad.
The Black Eagles will be able to offer Skrtel a lucrative contract and Champions League group stage football. Skrtel has now made 320 appearances for the Premier League giants.
