Liverpool Team News: Klopp Suffers Injury Blow, Salah Has Chance To Break 1962 Record

Liverpool take on Swansea in the Premier League Boxing Day special at the Anfield Stadium.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has will be without Nathaniel Clyne and team captain Jordan Henderson.

Henderson picked up a hamstring injury following in 3-3 draw against Arsenal last weekend.

Klopp otherwise has a full-strength squad to chose from.

Midfielder of Turkish origin Emre Can is likely to get the nod.

The 23-year-old started against the Gunners and provided his fourth assist of the season setting up Firmino with the equaliser.

Mohamed Salah is available and will break a record if Klopp decides to play him.

Should Salah score 3 times in the 2 remaining games of 2017 he will set a new club record for most goals in a season before New Year.

The Egyptian international has scored 21 this campaign, two behind Roger Hunt’s record of 23 set in 1961-62.

Swansea meanwhile are having a bit of an injury crisis with Wilfried Bony and Ki Sung-Yueng out.

Leroy Fer, Kyle Naughton and Roque Mesa are all doubtful to feature as well.
