Mourinho holds crisis talks with star midfielder in attempt to get him to sign last-ditch deal, Besiktas prepare offer
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has held crisis talks with Marouane Fellaini in a last-ditch attempt to get him to sign a new contract deal according to the Sun.
Per the source, Mourinho sat down with the Belgium international last Friday to try and convince him to stay on at the club.
Fellaini has under 12 months on his contract but has yet to sign a new deal.
Mourinho reportedly assured the powerful midfielder he would remain an influential member of his side if he stays on.

The 30-year-old will be able to enter direct talks with non Premier League sides in January if he does not reach an agreement over an extension.
The report claims that reigning Super Lig champions Besiktas and French giants PSG also want Fellaini.
Turkish-Football recently reported that Besiktas have held talks with Fellaini’s representatives over a four year deal.
The Black Eagles are set to hold further talks in the lead up to the winter transfer window.
Besiktas want Fellaini on a free transfer at the end of the season and are not keen on paying a transfer fee in January.
The reigning Super Lig giants are prepared to offer Fellaini a long term deal at the end of the season.
