Newcastle starlet fails to make squad ahead of Bournemouth clash – Benitez faces big decision upfront
Newcastle United take on Bournemouth on the road in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Magpies have won two, drawn two and lost two of their last six games and sit in 9th place.
Rising star Dan Barlaser has not been included in the squad yet again despite signing a new contract deal last week.
Both English and Turkish have fought for his services at international level and big clubs from the country of his father such as Besiktas and Fenerbahçe have been monitoring his progress.
The 20-year-old has on occasion been included in the provisional squad this season but has yet to make a Premier League appearance.
Rafa Benitez faces a tough decision upfront with Joselu misfiring up front and Mikel Merino out injured.
Benitez has shown faith in Joselu but Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic are available.
