Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil took to social media following Germany’s dramatic win over Sweden on Saturday night.
Joachim Low’s side needed a last-second Toni Kroos goal to keep his side in the 2018 World Cup.
The German tactician controversially left Mesut Ozil out of the starting line up. Ozil was an unused substitute while Man City’s Ilkay Gundogan did come on for Sebastian Rudy in the first half.
Following the game, Ozil took to social media to state that Germany have a strong team spirit both on and off the field.
The 29-year-old was responding to claims from the German media stating that the team was split into two groups.
“What! A! Fight! We are one team – on and off the pitch. No matter what they say.”
