Players as talented as Mesut Ozil are hard to find according to Arsenal’s experienced manager Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners boss spoke about his sides star playmaker following their 2-1 win over Manchester City in the Premier League.
“Ozil was sick all week but he kept on going and that is fantastic to see,” Ozil told SkySports 1.
“Unfortunately we are used to that (his quality), but i have been long enough in the game to know that to find this quality you have to travel a long way.”
The 27-year-old received a a rating of 8.1 from Whoscored for his performance on the night. Ozil took 59 touches on the ball, made two key passes and maintained a passing accuracy of 89%. The Germany international also contributed to Arsenal when it came to defence. Ozil made four successful tackles and one interception.
The Gunners are now just two points off league leaders Leicester City. The Gunners take on Southampton in their next league game.
