Everton winger Theo Walcott has revealed that he has been impressed with fellow January signing Cenk Tosun.
The England international believes Tosun is starting to settle in and foster a close relationship with his new teammates.
Walcott actually called the Turkey international a ‘great man’ which comes as no surprise if you followed him at Gaziantepspor and Besiktas.
Tosun rarely had any problems with teammates and his coaches always spoke highly of the positive impact he has on moral in the camp.
“I put in a few good ones at Stoke and Cenk showed his class,” Walcott told evertontv. “We see it every day in training. It always takes time to get used to the Premier League and a different culture and to get to know your team-mates.
“But he has settled in really well. He is a great finisher and a great man, as well. I am really pleased for him.”
Tosun joined the Toffees on the back of winning back to back Super Lig titles with Besiktas.
The star striker had already scored 14 goals and provided three assists before making the switch over the winter transfer window.
Walcott revealed that Tosun is a dream to play with as a winger due to his ability to play as a target man.

“Without a doubt, when you have a big man up front and you put it into an area and he attacks it, that is all you want as a winger,” Walcott said. “That is all I want and [the service is] what he is going to want.
“I fancy him to beat a lot of centre-halves. Stoke’s centre-backs are known for being physically strong and the way he dominated showed in the second half. Everyone won their battles.
“Stoke are a very physical team and they showed that. We dug in and showed good character to come back, especially with it being a disappointing goal we conceded. But I was pleased with the win overall.”
Tosun has four goals in his last three games for Everton after not starting any of the previous four matches.
The star striker is currently on international duty with Turkey.
