Update: Everton Send Club Officials To Turkey, £25m Target Expected To Complete Transfer After New Years Celebrations In Dubai
Everton are close to completing the transfer of Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun.
A source close to Besiktas told Turkish-Football that Everton have sent club officials to conclude the deal.
Unless the deal breaks down Tosun is expected to join his new club after the new year.
The 26-year-old will be in Dubai celebrating new years.

The transfer fee is expected to be in the region of £25 million which would make Tosun the most expensive Turkish international to leave the Super Lig.
Everton want to complete the transfer as soon as possible. Head coach Sam Allardyce is concerned about competition from other clubs.
Allardyce said: “It’s in the wind. There’s an interest obviously because we’re actively looking for a front man.
“But whether we are the ones to complete that deal or not, the interest from other clubs around Europe is our biggest worry if we are to secure that transfer.”
Tosun will shatter the record currently held by Cengiz Under when he completed his £12 million move to Roma over the summer.
The star striker has played abroad before, in fact he was born in Germany and rose through the Frankfurt youth ranks before joining Gaziantepspor and then Besiktas.
The 26-year-old has been in prolific form for the past two seasons.
Tosun scored 24 goals in all competitions for back to back title winners Besiktas last campaign.
The Turkish international has 14 goals and three assists in all competitions this term – including four goals and two assists in the Champions League.
