Costa will contest the violent conduct charge for Emre Can stamp [divider]
Chelsea striker Diego Costa will contest the violent conduct charge he faces for stamping on Liverpool midfielder Emre Can during the Capital One Cup semi-final match on Tuesday according to the BBC.
Costa was charged with violent conduct by the FA for two alleged stamps that were missed by referee Michael Oliver.

The main incident was the stamp on Can. The Spanish international striker stood on Can’s ankle in the 12th minute of the game but referee Michael Oliver failed to spot the incident as his view was blocked by Reds midfielder Jordan Henderson.
The other stamp was on Reds defender Martin Skrtel in the second half.
Costa could be handed a three-match ban if found guilty on Friday. The prolific striker would miss the Blues game against Manchester City on Saturday as well as matches against Everton and Aston Villa.
Liverpool lost the League Cup semi-final second leg against Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge after drawing the first game 1-1 at Anfield.
Can has made 18 appearances for the Reds in all competitions this season.
