Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on his star playmaker Mesut Özil during a press conference ahead of the Gunners clash with Manchester City on Monday.
The experienced French manager stated that Özil was his sides ‘main provider’ following a string of impressive performances.
‘Özil is a main provider for us and in the league. Players who can make you score are very difficult to find and have something special,’ Wenger was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
Özil is has won the Arsenal Vitality Player of the Month award for the past two consecutive months and has 13 assist in 15 Premier League games this season.
The World Cup winner has played a key role in the north London based side reaching the Champions League Last 16 for the 15th consecutive season.
Arsenal take on Manchester City next Monday in a critical league encounter which could see the Gunners go top. Özil has won back-to-back FA Cups since joining Arsenal from Real Madrid.
