Mesut Özil played the full 90 minutes in Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League yesterday evening.
The 26-year-old playmaker made the joint highest amount of key-passes in the game along with Alexis Sanchez and Roberto Firmino. Özil also made the highest number of successful dribbles (3).
Özil also provided three accurate crosses and maintained a passing accuracy of 84.4%. The World Cup winner received a rating of 7.31 from whoscored.
The Germany international came under fire from Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville who stated that Özil does not take responsibility for his teammates.
“[Özil and Alexis Sanches] Good players, fantastic players but I don’t think Özil has ever taken responsibility for his teammates,” Neville said on Monday Night Football show on Sky Sports.
Arsenal have gotten off to a slow start in the Premier League having just won one of their first three games. The Gunners sit in ninth place with four points.
Liverpool meanwhile remain undefeated in the league following the draw against Arsenal.
