Midfielder of Turkish origin Emre Can will star in his first Last 16 tie with Liverpool if of course he stays on at the club after the winter transfer window.
Can has under 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to sign a new deal.
The 23-year-old could leave in January or as a free transfer at the end of the season unless he signs an extension.
Porto finished the group stage as Group G runners-up behind Turkish giants Besiktas.
The Portuguese giants lost their Match Day 1 clash at home to the Black Eagles but managed to get back on track afterwards and pip Red Bull Leipzig to a second place spot.
