Wesley Sneijder proud of Galatasaray fans during the Netherlands – Turkey game [divider]
Netherlands international captain Wesley Sneijder admitted that he was proud of the Galatasaray fans that turned out to support him in the Euro 2016 Group A qualifier against Turkey.
Sneijder enjoyed widespread support from the Turkish fans that attended the game at the Amsterdam Arena.
“I could not believe it, Galatasaray fans who were supporting Turkey also cheered for me, this just shows what a big club we are, I want to thank everyone that turned out,” Sneijder told Fanatik.

Sneijder played a direct role in his sides last minute equaliser against Turkey to rescue a point.
The Netherlands international joined Galatasaray from Inter in January 2013 and has a total of 30 goals and 14 assists in 93 games for the Lions.
The 30-year-old playmaker has won the Süper Lig, Turkish Cup and Turkish Süper Cup since his arrival in Turkey.
Galatasaray take on Karabükspor next in the Süper Lig after the international break.
