Mesut Ozil has stated that Arsenal have matured as a team over the past year and that they are now better prepared after learning from their mistakes.
“I think as a team you can see that we’ve become more mature,” Mesut Ozil told Arsenal’s official website.
“We’ve learnt from our mistakes and you can see on the pitch that we’re more steady.”
Özil has created more chances than any other player in Europe according to the Daily Mail.
The World Cup winner has created a total of 54 chances this season which is seven more than his closest rival Dimitri Payet of West Ham.
The 27-year-old has been in great form for the Gunners providing 10 assists in 11 league games which is also the highest in Europe’s top five leagues – England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
The Arsenal playmaker also holds the record for assists provided in consecutive Premier League games (6) which he also broke this season.
The Gunners currently sit second in the Premier League with 26 points in 12 games. Arsenal take on West Brom this weekend.
