Fellow left-back Ismail Koybaşı has also been ruled out with injury. The Turkish international will be out for at least a month.

Motta has made a total of 26 appearances in all competitions for Beşiktaş this season.

The Brazilian fullback joined the Black Eagles on loan from Corinthians last season and then completed a permanent transfer in the summer.

Slaven Bilic may be forced to play central midfielder Atiba Hutchinson at left-back as a result.

January signing Tolgay Arslan could take Huthinson’s place in central midfield against Bursaspor on the weekend.

Süper Lig leaders take on 4th place Bursaspor on Sunday 16 February at the Atatürk Olympic stadium.

Beşiktaş then travel to England for their Europa League Round of 32 clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
