The 21-year-old has scored at least 6 more goals from outside the box (11) than any other player in the Bundesliga in the last 2 seasons according to Whoscored.
Çalhanoğlu was called up to the national team for the first time since his altercation with Gökhan Töre.
Ömer Toprak, Çalhanoğlu and Töre were involved in an altercation last year which resulted in a gun being pulled on the Bayer duo.
Töre was reported to have had a fight with a friend of Toprak while a friend of the Beşiktaş winger held a gun to both Bayer players.
Çalhanoğlu has now returned to the national team fold however, Toprak has yet to forgive head coach Fatih Terim and Töre.
