Liverpool take on Sion at Anfield in Group B of the Europa League in pursuit of their first win in the competition.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers will rest a few first-team regulars ahead of the Merseyside derby against Everton on the weekend. Daniel Sturridge, Mahamadou Sakho, Philippe Coutinho, Lucas Leiva and James Milner have all been left out the team while captain Jordan Henderson, Christian Benteke, Roberto Firmino as well as Dejan Lovren are all out injured.

Rodgers will however, call upon the services of Emre Can who will be used in defence for the second consecutive game.

The last time these two sides met was back in the 1996 UEFA Cup Winners Cup with Liverpool winning 8-4 on aggregate over the two legs.
