Moreno – ‘Besiktas are a strong team’ [divider]
Liverpool fullback Alberto Moreno praised Beşiktaş following the Europa League Round of 32 first-leg clash at Anfield.
The Reds won the game but Moreno admitted the Black Eagles made it difficult for his side.
“Besiktas are a strong team, they have players who can open you up and the truth is they made it hard for us,” Moreno was quoted as saying on the official Liverpool website.
“You can see that from the fact it took us until the 85th minute with the penalty to get our noses in front.”

Moreno did however, believe that Liverpool had more chances and deserved the win.
“That said, we had plenty of chances and they had very few clear chances, so I think it was deserved, but now we will have to go over there to Turkey and we’ll see what happens,” he added.
The Reds will travel to Istanbul to take on Beşiktaş on Thursday 26 February in the stadium where they lifted the 2004-05 Champions League.
Beşiktaş usually play at the Inönü stadium but it is currently being rebuilt.
The Vodafone Arena will be a state of the art 41,903 seat stadium in the same location as the Inönü.
