Atletico Madrid were held to a goalless draw by rivals Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg game held at the Vicente Calderon stadium.
Atleti midfielder Mario Suarez revealed that his side are still in a strong position and that they knocked Chelsea out of the competition last leg after securing the same result in the first-leg.
“It’s not the result we expected at the beginning but it’s the same result we took last year to Stamford Bridge in the semi-finals – and we won,” Suarez was quoted as saying on the official UEFA website.

The quarter-final return leg will be played next Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
